Judge suspended all sports programs for three years due to funding problems stemming from the Great Depression, too few boys and Administrator Fr. J. S. Keefe’s desire to put more emphasis on academic and religious training.

The graduates included Lawrence Vaughan, who became a Maryknoll priest for 52 years before passing away in 1994. He was the brother of William Vaughan, who became a monsignor and a pastor at St. Ambrose Parish.
