I have been teaching science at Judge since 2010. Originally I taught chemistry, and now I have switched over to physics. I love teaching physics. For me, teaching physics is all about introducing students to problem solving. It is about designing experiments, trying them out, refining them, and then reflecting on the results. It involves learning to measure, doing the calculations, doing the math, and perhaps solving the problem.
I love seeing when kids stop worrying about whether they got the right answer, but instead, are excited about the process of doing science.
In my spare time I often think of physics while riding my mountain bike in Bountiful. I also think of physics on my e-bike commute to Judge from Bountiful.
