Ms. Jones has called many places home, starting with Cape Cod, Massachusetts, where she grew up. Her high school years took her on an adventure through Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Vermont, and North Carolina — attending four different high schools — before she graduated and went on to attend two universities. She found her way to Utah by way of an internship with Child & Youth Programs in the Department of Defense.
Her professional journey began at her alma mater, Appalachian State University, where she discovered her passion for the pathway to higher education. She continued this work in admissions at the University of Utah and eventually expanded her expertise into research administration and the management of NIH institutional training grants. Ultimately, she transitioned “to the other side of the desk” to work directly with students — helping them identify their goals, develop meaningful plans, and take bold steps toward making those dreams a reality. She encourages every student to take risks, show kindness, and make choices that are authentically their own.
Outside of Judge, Ms. Jones is most often spotted with a coffee in hand, headed to an indoor cycling or pilates class, hiking Utah’s trails, or enjoying time with her family. She is married, with a daughter, a fluffy gray cat named Kitty Bear, and a 170-pound Mastiff/Lab mix named Waylon.
If she weren’t in her current role, she’d be running a Saint Bernard rescue and doing her best to convince her husband to adopt every single one.
